WOODWARD: MATTIS TOLD SPICER TO SHUT UP OR HE’D BE ON THE NEXT PLANE TO AFGHANISTAN
Secretary of Defense James Mattis allegedly threatened to send former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer to Afghanistan, according to Bob Woodward’s new book, “Fear: Trump in the White House.”
AP White House reporter Zeke Miller tweeted out an excerpt from the book on Tuesday night. It said, “I’ve killed people for a living. If you
call me again, I’m going to fucking send you to Afghanistan. Are we clear?”
That was in response to Spicer’s attempts to get him to go on Sunday talk shows.
Woodward pp133: Sean Spicer…tried several times to persuade Mattis to appear
on Sunday talk shows… The answer
was always no.
‘Sean,” Mattis finally said, “I’ve killed people for a living. If you
call me again, I’m going to fucking send you to Afghanistan. Are we
clear?”— Zeke Miller (@ZekeJMiller) September 5, 2018
