Nancy Pelosi is in big trouble…
Things aren’t looking too rosy for House Minority Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s future.
Pelosi’s job is in serious jeopardy heading into the 2018 midterm elections. If she fails to deliver the promised “blue wave” and regain control of the House and Senate for the Democrats, it’s almost certain she’ll be fired from her position as a leading Democrat.
Friday, a top CBS pollster predicted the predicted “blue wave” will fizzle — and if even left-leaning pollsters are predicting Democrats will lose, that’s bad news for Pelosi.
CBS News’ top pollster Anthony Salvanto says polls “currently indicates that few House seats will change hands in November — and that the GOP could very well hold its majority in the House.”
“In this era, a district’s voting patterns from the past tend to stay that way,” Salvanto told The New York Post. “Not as many partisans today are willing to cross party lines.”
Out of the full 435 House seats, over 85 percent will remain in control of their current lawmaker’s party this November. Of the 15 percent that experts consider in play, data isn’t indicating they’re ready to vote for any major shift.
“Right now I think this election looks like a toss-up. We see a Democrat pickup in the House of Representatives in the 20-odd seat range, but Republicans could certainly hold on to the House,” Salvanto says. Republicans currently hold a 43-seat House majority.
These are the same kind of polling shifts that occurred right before Americans voted then-Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump into the White House — reports that were ignored (or buried) by the mainstream media.
In other words, even left-leaning polls are confirming that Trump and the GOP are more popular than the media wants people to know.
That news is probably giving Pelosi and her cronies a lot of sleepless nights.
