Nancy Pelosi wants voters to forget 3 words
When Democrats say the crisis at the southern border is “manufactured,” there are just three words House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., is hoping voters forget.
The first one is a number: 318,407.
That’s how many illegal immigrants U.S. border patrol agents caught crossing the southern border in January and February alone.S
That’s right—more than a quarter of a million people in just two months of the year. That’s twice as many as this time last year, with no let up in sight.
It’s so bad that the feds nabbed more illegals coming into the U.S. in February than any month in the last 12 years.
The border is absolutely out of control.
At that rate, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen predicts about 900,000 illegal aliens will enter the United States this year alone—but the numbers get worse yet.
Trying to process nearly a million illegals “will overwhelm the system.”S
“This is not a manufactured crisis,” Nielsen tells Congress. “This is truly an emergency.”
Many of the illegals who are coming are an emergency themselves. Three-times as many illegals needed medical treatment, for diseases like the mumps.
It’s a crisis, but you can’t appreciate it until you know the full size.
That brings us to the second word you have to remember when dealing with border crisis denialists is: You.
You Democrats manufactured the border crisis. Here’s how.
That number—318,407—is more than all the illegal immigrants who tried to cross the border in Trump’s entire first year in office, fiscal year 2017, when crossings hit a 45-year low of 310,531.M
But then the Democrats started to hit their stride.
Trump separated illegal immigrant children from people pretending to be their parents. These were coyotes, drug dealers—some of them even molested the children they pretended to be traveling with.
But Pelosi said Trump was something like a Nazi who was putting “children in cages.”
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., claimed that Trump caused the poor children “trauma.”
