Ugly Kavanaugh HYPOCRISY exposed (liberals hate this)
Democrats say we should listen to women, trust them and believe their harrowing stories… but only when they’re accusing Republicans!
As insane as that sounds, that’s exactly what’s going on right now — it’s the ugly new hypocrisy from the left.
The same people who nearly shut down Washington D.C. to protest Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination, are now dismissing serious allegations made against one of the darlings of the left, Rep. Keith Ellison.
Ellison is a Democratic congressman from Minnesota and deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee. He’s now running for attorney general in his state and is being dogged by allegations of physical, emotional and verbal abuse against two former girlfriends.
Like Kavanaugh, he’s denied the allegations.
As with the Kavanaugh case, an investigation into the allegations against Ellison revealed no solid evidence to substantiate them.
But the similarities end there.
The left threw a fit over Kavanaugh and demanded he withdraw his nomination despite the fact that the decades-old allegations were inconsistent and had never been corroborated by any other witness accounts, but they’re doing the opposite here.
They’re actually circulating a letter of support for Ellison.
Betsy Hodges, former mayor of Minneapolis and an Ellison supporter, shared the letter on the Medium website. It’s signed by herself and more than a dozen other politicians and “social justice” activists.
“We know how painful it is when women who come forward with stories of abuse are not believed, and we are glad that we are having a national conversation about that,” the letter states.
Then, it immediately gets into the business of not believing the accusations against Ellison.
From there, it gets almost destructive… because it uses many of the exact same arguments made in support of Kavanaugh!
It says they have “grave concerns about the timing” of the allegations… and that timing suggests “these allegations have become politically as well as personally motivated.”
Sound familiar?
That’s something Kavanaugh’s supporters also pointed out, given the allegations against the judge came out after his Senate confirmation hearings.
Another supposed point in his favor?
“Keith did not shout down his accuser or demand we ignore her — rather, Keith welcomed and fully and willingly cooperated with this independent investigation,” the letter states.
So did Kavanaugh and his supporters. There was even an FBI investigation ordered by the White House!
“This independent investigation has found the allegations of abuse unsubstantiated,” the letter states.
Once again, that exact line could have been made in defense of Kavanaugh.
The entire letter sounds a lot like Sen. Susan Collins’ passionate defense of Kavanaugh as she cast one of the deciding votes to confirm him to the Supreme Court.
Yet she was slammed by the left, with liberals raising millions to fund any Democrat who runs against her in 2020 no matter who that person is.
Now, those same leftists who violently opposed Kavanaugh are urging the people of Minnesota to vote for Ellison.
He may win, too.
Despite the accusations, Ellison holds a slim lead in his race to be the Minnesota attorney general. If he wins, he’s likely hoping to use that new office as a perch from which to attack President Donald Trump and hinder the Republican agenda with lawsuits and legal actions.
He might even make enough of a name for himself in the process that he can run against Trump in 2020.
Would Democrats send someone with multiple allegations of misconduct against women to the White House?
The left will tell you there’s no way they’d allow it… but there are several women who’ve made accusations against President Bill Clinton who could tell you otherwise.
