Tucker Carlson reveals NYT op-ed BOMBSHELL (leaker revealed!?)

By  |

On Wednesday, The New York Times ran afoul of decades of journalistic integrity when they allowed a White House insider to remain anonymous while writing a scathing piece on President Donald Trump.

The decision by The Times editorial board to run an anonymous attack piece reportedly left a career journalist at the newspaper very angry. The White House called the move “gutless” and demanded the newspaper to reveal their source over national security concerns. According to The Wall Street Journal, authorities inside the White House are scrambling behind closed doors to find the dangerous anti-Trump leaker.

They may already have an answer, though. That’s according to one top Fox News commentator, who implied that the leaker will be revealed soon.

Tucker Carlson said Wednesday his team has a “pretty good idea” who is behind the controversial Times article — and he’s just waiting on confirmation before dropping the bombshell reveal.

“We think we’ve got a pretty good idea who wrote this piece,” Carlson told his audience on Wednesday. “We’ve called the White House for comment on it tonight. But until we confirm the identity, of course, we’re not going to accuse anybody in public.”

Carlson isn’t the only journalist claiming the mystery may already have been solved.

Yassir Ali, a contributor to The Huffinton Post, wrote Wednesday evening that the Trump administration may be closing in.

Remember in 2017, when the mainstream media said there was no “Deep State” undermining the Trump’s administration?

The mainstream media said it was an “uproven claim” and nothing but a baseless, “paranoid conspiracy theory” that only the far-right “political fringe” could believe.

On Mar. 10, 2017, The New York Times ran an article titled, “What Happens When You Fight a ‘Deep State’ That Doesn’t Exist” where the author said the “conspiracy” that government workers were actively undermining Trump was absurd and dangerous.

A little over one year later, and The Times has devoted their entire front page to an anti-Trump government employee who proudly wrote that he and other administration officials were actively undermining Trump.

So, in the end, what does it all mean? It’s politically embarrassing for Trump and his allies… but experts say there’s probably not much to the actual story besides the media sensationalism.

Fox News’ senior political analyst, Brit Hume, speculated that The Times story is probably far less of a “stunning” reveal than the media is claiming.

Hume said the source is most likely a longtime government worker and someone completely unknown outside of Washington, D.C. political circles.

Jennifer Palmieri, the former communications director for Hillary Clinton’s campaign and a New York Times bestseller, agreed —

In other words, it’s the same mainstream media tactic the media has been using for years.

There’s a lot of smoke.

But it’s unlikely there are any flames.
